A RESOLUTION 1 Designating the week of October 2 through 8, 2005, as "Financial 2 Planning Week" in Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, The financial planning process allows individuals to 4 achieve their dreams by empowering them to identify and manage 5 realistic financial goals and negotiate the financial barriers 6 that arise at every stage of life; and 7 WHEREAS, Everyone can benefit from knowing the value of 8 financial planning and knowing where to turn for objective 9 financial advice; and 10 WHEREAS, The Financial Planning Association is the membership 11 organization for the financial planning community, representing
1 29,000 members dedicated to supporting the financial planning 2 process as a way to help individuals achieve their goals and 3 dreams; and 4 WHEREAS, The Financial Planning Association believes that 5 everyone needs objective advice to make smart financial 6 decisions and that individuals seeking the advice of a financial 7 planner should consult a certified financial planning 8 professional; and 9 WHEREAS, The Financial Planning Association is dedicated to 10 helping individuals discover the value of financial planning; 11 therefore be it 12 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the 13 week of October 2 through 8, 2005, as "Financial Planning Week" 14 in Pennsylvania.
