                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of September 27, 1961 (P.L.1700, No.699),
     2     entitled "An act relating to the regulation of the practice
     3     of pharmacy, including the sales, use and distribution of
     4     drugs and devices at retail; and amending, revising,
     5     consolidating and repealing certain laws relating thereto,"
     6     further providing for the distribution of prescription drugs
     7     by pharmacies.

     8     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     9  hereby enacts as follows:
    10     Section 1.  Section 4(a) of the act of September 27, 1961
    11  (P.L.1700, No.699), known as the Pharmacy Act, is amended by
    12  adding a clause to read:
    13     Section 4.  Permit to Conduct a Pharmacy.--(a)  The State
    14  Board of Pharmacy shall issue a permit to any person to conduct
    15  a pharmacy who has filed an application therefor, subscribed by
    16  the applicant under oath or affirmation, and containing such
    17  information as the board may require, and whose proposed
    18  pharmacy complies with all requirements of this act, including
    19  the following:

     2     (5.1)  Offers to provide one page of easily read and boldly
     3  printed inclusive documentation of the name of the drug, common
     4  adverse effects or interactions and therapeutic
     5  contraindications that may be encountered, including their
     6  avoidance and the action required if they occur, proper storage
     7  and any other general information that may be beneficial to the
     8  patient for each new outpatient prescription drug distributed.
     9  This documentation shall be known as the prescription advisory
    10  fact sheet;
