        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           JUNE 18, 2001

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Commending the Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association for
     2     its commitment to advancing the horticulture industry and
     3     recognizing the week of July 23, 2001, as "Pennsylvania
     4     Landscape and Nursery Week."

     5     WHEREAS, Landscapers and nurseries are an integral part of
     6  Pennsylvania's horticulture industry; and
     7     WHEREAS, All of the citizens of this Commonwealth benefit
     8  directly from the products and services provided by the
     9  landscape and nursery industry; and
    10     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association has
    11  represented the landscape and nursery industry for more than 95


     1  years; and
     2     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association
     3  annually sponsors the Penn Allied Nursery Trade Show which
     4  showcases premiere horticultural businesses and their products;
     5  and
     6     WHEREAS, The show is recognized as one of the largest
     7  horticultural trade shows in the United States, with more than
     8  10,000 attendees, 600 exhibiting companies and 1,300 exhibit
     9  displays; therefore be it
    10     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives commend the
    11  Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association for its continued
    12  commitment to advancing the horticulture industry by annually
    13  sponsoring the Penn Allied Nursery Trade Show; and be it further
    14     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
    15  week of July 23, 2001, as "Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery
    16  Week."
