        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, MAY 22, 1984

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Establishing a bipartisan committee to investigate and study
     2     home equity conversions and reversible mortgages.

     3     RESOLVED, That the Speaker of the House of Representatives
     4  appoint a bipartisan committee of nine members of the House of
     5  Representatives, five from the majority party and four from the
     6  minority party, to conduct a thorough study and investigation of
     7  home equity conversions and reversible mortgages; and be it
     8  further
     9     RESOLVED, That the committee may hold public hearings at
    10  various locations throughout the Commonwealth and take testimony
    11  whenever it deems necessary; and be it further
    12     RESOLVED, That the expense for conducting the hearings will
    13  be the responsibility of the Chief Clerk's Office; and be it
    14  further
    15     RESOLVED, That the committee make a report of its findings
    16  and recommendations to the House of Representatives as soon as
    17  possible.
