A RESOLUTION
1 Designating June 3, 2007, as "Veterans Appreciation Day" in
2 Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, Men and women from Bradford County and throughout
4 this Commonwealth have faithfully served in the armed forces of
5 the United States; and
6 WHEREAS, Throughout this nation's history, from the
7 Revolutionary War to our presence in Iraq and other areas of the
8 world, men and women of Bradford County and the other counties
9 of this Commonwealth have answered the call to defend our
1 freedom, our liberties and our ideals; and
2 WHEREAS, Throughout the history of Bradford County and this
3 entire Commonwealth, many of these men and women have paid the
4 supreme sacrifice by giving their lives or their freedom to
5 perpetuate the unique concept of life, liberty and pursuit of
6 happiness upon which this great nation was founded; and
7 WHEREAS, Residents of Bradford County and all of the other
8 counties of this Commonwealth once again gather to recognize
9 these men and women who have served with honor; therefore be it
10 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate June 3,
11 2007, as "Veterans Appreciation Day" in Pennsylvania; and be it
12 further
13 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives encourage all
14 citizens of this Commonwealth to take part in honoring the men
15 and women who have served our nation.
