A RESOLUTION
1 Lauding the Chinese students for their heroic efforts to bring
2 democracy to their homeland.
3 WHEREAS, The world has been thrilled by the heroic efforts of
4 the Chinese students to persuade their leaders to let the light
5 of freedom into the totalitarian darkness which has so long
6 covered the largest nation on the globe; and
7 WHEREAS, The world has been appalled by the butchery of those
8 heroic students by the soldiers set upon them by their leaders;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, The House of Representatives wishes the Chinese
11 students to know that their efforts have been watched and
12 admired from the great distance that separates China from this
13 Commonwealth, and that the hearts of all Pennsylvanians are with
14 them in this time of their travail; therefore be it
15 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives laud the Chinese
16 students for their efforts to bring democracy to their homeland,
17 and extend its heartfelt sympathy for the deaths and injuries
1 which resulted from the brutal attacks on them by their own
2 government and its wishes for a brighter future, one in which
3 the light of freedom and democracy will shine in their troubled
4 homeland.
