        INTRODUCED BY SEVENTY, COWELL, SALOOM, DAWIDA, MISCEVICH,
           HUTCHINSON, DUFFY, OLASZ, KUKOVICH, PETRONE, CLARK, PISTELLA,
           LUCYK, TRELLO, McMONAGLE, MURPHY, VAN HORNE, POTT, BURD,
           BOOK, CESSAR, PRATT, SWEET, PETRARCA AND DOMBROWSKI,
           OCTOBER 11, 1983

        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, OCTOBER 12, 1983

                            A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

     1  Urging the Department of Revenue officials to cooperate with the
     2     Turnpike Commission in the furnishing of lottery machines to
     3     all restaurant facilities on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

     4     WHEREAS, Many thousands of persons from within and without
     5  Pennsylvania travel the Pennsylvania Turnpike daily; and
     6     WHEREAS, No facility along the Pennsylvania Turnpike sells
     7  Pennsylvania lottery tickets; and
     8     WHEREAS, The Commonwealth would realize more revenues for its
     9  senior citizen programs if such facilities would sell
    10  Pennsylvania lottery tickets; therefore be it
    11     RESOLVED (the Senate concurring), That the General Assembly
    12  of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania urge the Lottery and
    13  Department of Revenue officials to cooperate with the
    14  Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission for the purpose of placing
    15  lottery machines at all restaurant facilities along the
    16  Pennsylvania Turnpike; and be it further
    17     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to

     1  the Secretary of Revenue, the Director of the State Lottery and
     2  each of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commissioners.
