A RESOLUTION
1 Declaring the week of April 7 through 11, 1997, as "Job
2 Opportunities Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Job Center and participating
4 sponsors have accepted the mission of matching citizens with
5 jobs; and
6 WHEREAS, Economic development and satisfying the need to
7 match workers with good jobs ensure a bright future for the
8 entire community; and
9 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Job Center, in collaboration with
10 other sponsors, will conduct employment-related events such as a
11 legislative open house, school-to-work programs, tours, seminars
12 and job fairs during the week of April 7th to achieve these
13 ends; therefore be it
14 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives declare the week
15 of April 7 through 11, 1997, as "Job Opportunities Week" in
16 Pennsylvania; and be it further
17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives commend employers
1 and job seekers for their efforts to enhance the quality of life
2 in their communities and this Commonwealth.
