In the House of Representatives, March 5, 1975
1 The National Cemeteries Act of 1973 gave the Veteran's
2 Administration the responsibility for the National Cemetery
3 Program.
4 The Veteran's Administration has indicated that Pennsylvania
5 is to be the site of a National Shrine and Cemetery for Region
6 III, encompassing the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey,
7 Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
8 The Adjutant General of Pennsylvania and the Veteran's
9 Commission of Pennsylvania are now engaged in actions to
10 investigate, inspect and select sites within the Commonwealth of
11 Pennsylvania for such a shrine and cemetery; therefore be it
12 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
13 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania supports any and all actions
14 necessary for the purpose of establishing such National Shrine
15 and Cemetery in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; and be it
16 further
1 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be sent to the
2 Federal Veteran's Administration.
