                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
     2     act relating to the public school system, including certain
     3     provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
     4     schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
     5     laws relating thereto," further providing for State
     6     reimbursement for health services.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  Section 2505.1(b.1) of the act of March 10, 1949
    10  (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, added
    11  August 5, 1991 (P.L.219, No.25), is amended to read:
    12     Section 2505.1.  State Reimbursement for Health Services.--

    14     (b.1)  Every school district which renders health services to
    15  children shall be reimbursed by the Commonwealth on account of
    16  health services which conform to standards approved by the
    17  Secretary of Health. Reimbursement shall be paid by the
    18  Secretary of Health. For the school year [1990-1991] 2000-2001,
    19  the amount of this reimbursement for this subsection shall be


     1  the sum of [five dollars and ninety cents ($5.90)] fourteen
     2  dollars and seventy cents ($14.70) multiplied by the average
     3  daily membership of each school district. For the school year
     4  [1991-1992] 2001-2002 and each school year thereafter, the
     5  amount of this reimbursement for this subsection shall be the
     6  sum of [nine dollars and seventy cents ($9.70)] eighteen dollars
     7  and seventy cents ($18.70) multiplied by the average daily
     8  membership of each school district.

    10     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
