AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 187

Amend Resolution, page 1, line 3, by inserting after
"England"
and expressing support commending the Governor of Utah for his
actions on H.B.11 in support of Utah's children
Amend Resolution, page 2, line 6, by striking out "therefore
be it" and inserting
and
WHEREAS, On March 22, 2022, the Governor of Utah vetoed
H.B.11, student eligibility in interscholastic activities; and
WHEREAS, The Governor of Utah has earned national recognition
for his veto message and leadership in promoting inclusion; and
WHEREAS, The Governor of Utah's message of compassion and
care for marginalized children provided inspiration to all;
therefore be it
Amend Resolution, page 2, by inserting between lines 11 and
12
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives express support
and commend the Governor of Utah for his actions on H.B.11; and
be it further
Amend Resolution, page 2, line 13, by striking out "and" and
inserting a comma
Amend Resolution, page 2, line 13, by inserting after
"Jersey"
and the Governor of Utah
