Amend Bill, page 1, lines 12 through 18, by striking out "A"
in line 12 and all of lines 13 through 18 and inserting
A child whose parent or legal guardian is an active duty
member of the armed forces of the United States, including a
reserve component, and has received official military orders to
transfer into or within this Commonwealth shall be eligible to
establish residency for purposes of section 1302 in the school
district in which the child will be residing, upon providing a
copy of the official military orders to the school district.
(b) The receiving school district shall enroll a child who
establishes residency under subsection (a) at least one business
day before the arrival date specified in the military order.
