AMENDMENTS TO SENATE BILL NO. 1182

Amend Bill, page 1, line 5, by inserting after "repeals,""
further providing for advisory committee; and
Amend Bill, page 1, lines 9 through 11, by striking out all
of said lines and inserting
Section 1. Section 4(a) and (b) of the act of July 8, 1986
(P.L.437, No.92), known as the Pennsylvania Agricultural Fair
Act, are amended to read:
Section 4. Advisory committee.
(a) Committee established.--There is established within the
department an advisory committee composed of [seven members as
follows] the following members: the Secretary of Agriculture,
who shall be [chairman] chairperson; the [Chairman] Chairperson
of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of the House of
Representatives, or [his] the Chairperson's designee; the
Minority Chairperson of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs
Committee of the House of Representatives, or the Minority
Chairperson's designee; the [Chairman] Chairperson of the
Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of the Senate, or [his]
the Chairperson's designee; the Minority Chairperson of the
Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of the Senate, or the
Minority Chairperson's designee; and four additional members to
be appointed by the secretary, including three representatives
of agricultural fairs and one member who shall represent the
public at large. The appointed members shall serve for terms of
two years. Appointments to the committee shall be made within 60
days of this act.
(b) Quorum.--No business shall be transacted by the advisory
committee in the absence of a quorum, which shall consist of
[four] five members.

Section 2. The act is amended by adding a section to read:
