AMENDMENTS TO SENATE BILL NO. 575

Amend Bill, page 1, lines 9 and 10, by striking out all of
said lines and inserting
Section 1. Section 6105(a)(1) and (b)(1)(iii) and (v) of
Title 27 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended
to read:

and inserting
(b) The Department of Environmental Protection.--
(1) The Department of Environmental Protection shall
utilize money it receives from the fund for the following
purposes:

(iii) To provide grants to a county or other
municipality, council of governments, county conservation
districts, watershed organizations and other authorized
organizations for acid mine drainage abatement, mine
cleanup efforts, drilling and pipeline construction
activities and well plugging.
* * *
(v) To improve water-quality-impaired watersheds,
including those polluted by past mining activities,
agricultural and urban runoff, atmospheric deposition,
on-lot sewage systems, drilling and pipeline construction
activities and earthmoving activities.
