Amend Bill, page 6, by inserting between lines 4 and 5
"Force." Efforts used by a law enforcement officer that may
result in s erious bodily injury or death when used to:
(1) Effectuate an arrest.
(2) Overcome resistance or threatened resistance to
e ffectuate an arrest.
(3) Protect the arresting officer or any other person
f rom injury or death.
Amend Bill, page 6, by inserting between lines 9 and 10
"Serious bodily injury." Bodily injury that creates a
substantial risk of death or which causes serious, permanent
disfigurement or protracted loss or impairment of the function
of a bodily member or organ.
Amend Bill, page 6, line 28, by striking out "Injuries, if
any, and to what individuals." and inserting
Personal injuries, if any.
Amend Bill, page 7, lines 22 through 24, by striking out all
of lines 22 and 23 and "(4)" in line 24 and inserting
(3)
Amend Bill, page 7, line 27, by striking out "(5)" and
inserting
(4)
