Amend Bill, page 2, by inserting between lines 26 and 27
Section 4. Construction.
Nothing in this act shall be construed to prohibit a coroner
or medical examiner from releasing information to the public if
the identity of the deceased or the next of kin is unknown and:
(1) The information is necessary to find the next of kin
for purpose of notification under section 3.
(2) The information consists only of the following:
(i) Gender.
(ii) Race.
(iii) Age.
(iv) Date the deceased was found.
(v) Sketch.
(vi) Any information the coroner and medical
examiner deem necessary.
(3) The information does not jeopardize an official
investigation.
(4) The information is not privileged or confidential
under the laws of this Commonwealth or pursuant to court
order.
