1Amend Bill, page 2, line 24, by inserting after "activities."

2 The term "timbering" shall include:

3(1) The business of producing or harvesting trees from
4forests, woodlots or tree farms for the purpose of the
5commercial production of wood, paper or energy products.

6(2) All operations prior to the transport of the harvested
7product necessary for the removal of timber or forest products
8from the site, in-field processing of trees into logs or chips,
9complying with environmental protection and safety requirements
10applicable to the harvest of forest products, creating access to
11the harvest site, loading of forest products onto highway
12vehicles for transport to storage or processing facilities and
13postharvest site reclamation, including those activities
14necessary to improve timber growth or ensure natural or direct
15reforestation of the site.
