Amend Bill, page 1, line 17, by striking out "a definition"

and inserting

 definitions

Amend Bill, page 2, line 19, by inserting after "facility,"

 an ophthalmic surgical facility,

Amend Bill, page 3, by inserting between lines 8 and 9

"Ophthalmic surgical facility."  A public or private

hospital, clinic, center, medical school, medical training

institution, physician's office, infirmary or any other

institution that provides surgical treatment for conditions or

disease processes involving the eye or ocular adnexa.

Amend Bill, page 3, lines 9 and 10, by striking out "a " in

line 9 and "subsection" in line 10 and inserting

 subsections

Amend Bill, page 3, by inserting between lines 17 and 18

(i)  Ophthalmic surgical facilities.--The department shall

apply the same fire and safety standards, personnel and

equipment requirements and quality assurance procedures to

ophthalmic surgical facilities that are presently applied to

comprehensive freestanding ambulatory surgical facilities.
