                       AMENDMENTS TO SENATE BILL NO. 986

     1       Amend Sec. 2, page 1, line 14, by inserting after "salary"
     2               or other rate of pay
     3       Amend Sec. 2, page 1, lines 15 and 16, by striking out all of
     4    said lines and inserting
     5    include the following:
     6           (1)  Reimbursement or payments for expenses related to
     7       official business, including meals, housing, uniforms, car
     8       allowance and other expenses.
     9           (2)  Severance payments pursuant to a personnel
    10       compensation plan, contract or collective bargaining
    11       agreement.
    12           (3)  Payments for unused vacation or sick leave.
    13           (4)  An annual cost-of-living adjustment equivalency
    14       payment made to an individual, at the maximum of a salary
    15       range, adopted pursuant to a personnel compensation plan or a
    16       collective bargaining agreement.
    17           (5)  An arbitration award.
    18           (6)  Payments made pursuant to litigation.
    19           (7)  Overtime payments required for work performed in
    20       excess of the maximum workweek.
    21           (8)  Annual performance-based incentive payments based on
    22       objective criteria made pursuant to a personnel compensation
    23       plan included in an individual employment contract or
    24       collective bargaining agreement.
    25           (9)  Shift differential payments, standby or call-time
    26       payments or extra duty payments made pursuant to a collective
    27       bargaining agreement.
    28    A personnel compensation plan, contract or collective bargaining
    29    agreement under this definition shall be in writing and shall be
    30    open for public inspection.

    31       Amend Bill, page 3, by inserting between lines 9 and 10
    32    Section 5.  Applicability.
    33       The provisions of this act shall not abrogate any provision
    34    of an existing collective bargaining agreement or employment
    35    contract.

    36       Amend Sec. 5, page 3, line 10, by striking out "5" and
