                       AMENDMENTS TO SENATE BILL NO. 466

     1       Amend Title, page 1, line 6, by inserting after "application"
     2               , for changes in the Uniform Construction Code
     3       Amend Sec. 1, page 1, line 12, by striking out "a paragraph"
     4    and inserting
     5               paragraphs
     6       Amend Sec. 1 (Sec. 104), page 2, lines 13 through 21, by
     7    striking out all of said lines and inserting
     8           (8)  temporary structures erected for less than 180
     9       continuous days, except as might be required by ordinances in
    10       effect under section 303(b)(1) or adopted under section 503;
    11           (9)  temporary structures which:
    12               (i)  are less than 1,600 square feet in size;
    13               (ii)  are erected for a period of less than 30
    14           continuous days for:
    15                   (A)  the purpose of participation in a fair, flea
    16               market or arts and crafts festival; or
    17                   (B)  other public or private use; and
    18               (iii)  are subject to section 503(a)(2); and
    19           (10)  construction job trailers until the completion of
    20       the construction project.

    21       Amend Bill, page 2, by inserting between lines 22 and 23
    22       Section 1.1.  Section 503(a) of the act, amended July 15,
    23    2004 (P.L.748, No.92), is amended to read:
    24    Section 503.  Changes in Uniform Construction Code.
    25       (a)  Administration.--
    26           (1)  Municipalities may enact ordinances which equal or
    27       exceed the minimum requirements of Chapter 1 of the 1999 BOCA
    28       National Building Code, Fourteenth Edition, or successor
    29       codes, relating to administration consistent with the
    30       provisions of section 501(c).
    31           (2)  An ordinance under this subsection applicable to the
    32       exception under section 104(b)(9) may require compliance with
    33       any of the following standards:
    34               (i)  Flame propagation criteria of the applicable
    35           edition of the National Fire Protection Association's


     1           Life Safety Code, NFPA No. 701.
     2               (ii)  The ICC Electrical Code.
     3               (iii)  International Fire Code criteria as to number
     4           of portable fire extinguishers.
