                       AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 2188

     1       Amend Sec. 3, page 3, by inserting between lines 4 and 5
     2       "Actively marketed."  A "for sale" sign has been placed on
     3    the property with accurate contact information and the owner has
     4    done at least one of the following:
     5           (1)  engaged the services of a licensee under the act of
     6       February 19, 1980 (P.L.15, No.9), known as the Real Estate
     7       Licensing and Registration Act, to place the property in a
     8       Multiple Listing Service or otherwise market the property;
     9           (2)  placed weekly or more frequent advertisements in
    10       print or electronic media; or
    11           (3)  distributed printed advertisements.

    12       Amend Sec. 3, page 4, line 23, by inserting after "declared"
    13               by the appropriate official
    14       Amend Sec. 3, page 4, by inserting between lines 26 and 27
    15       "Substantial rehabilitation."  Repairs to the building where:
    16           (1)  the cost of repairs, replacements and improvements
    17       exceeds 15% of the property's value after completion of all
    18       repairs, replacements and improvements; or
    19           (2)  more than one major building component is being
    20       replaced. Major building components include:
    21               (i)  roof structures;
    22               (ii)  ceilings;
    23               (iii)  wall or floor structures;
    24               (iv)  foundations;
    25               (v)  plumbing systems;
    26               (vi)  heating and air conditioning systems; and
    27               (vii)  electrical systems.

    28       Amend Sec. 4, page 5, lines 4 and 5, by striking out all of
    29    line 4 and "be appointed" in line 5 and inserting
    30    include a sworn statement that, to the best of the petitioner's
    31    knowledge, the property meets the conditions for conservatorship
    32    set forth in section 5(d)

    33       Amend Sec. 4, page 5, line 5, by inserting after "petitioner"
    34               after reasonable efforts to obtain such information

     1       Amend Sec. 4, page 6, line 3, by striking out "15" and
     2    inserting
