     1       Amend Sec. 3 (Sec. 13.3), page 7, by inserting between lines 
     2    24 and 25
     3       (j)  (1)  An individual who holds a current license as a
     4       perfusionist in another state, the District of Columbia or a
     5       territory of the United States or has obtained national
     6       certification may provide a one-time emergency perfusionist
     7       service in this Commonwealth without first obtaining a
     8       license from the board if:
     9               (i)  Prior to the out-of-State perfusionist
    10           performing the emergency perfusionist services in this
    11           Commonwealth, the out-of-State perfusionist submits by
    12           electronic means and on forms approved by the board,
    13           notification of emergency practice which shall include an
    14           acknowledgment that the out-of-State perfusionist is
    15           subject to the jurisdiction of the board in the same
    16           manner as if the out-of-State perfusionist were licensed
    17           by the board.
    18               (ii)  The health care facility licensed by the
    19           Department of Health certifies to the board, by
    20           electronic means and on forms approved by the board,
    21           prior to the out-of-State perfusionist performing the
    22           emergency perfusionist services in this Commonwealth that
    23           all of the following apply:
    24                   (A)  The emergency perfusionist services were
    25               provided for a patient of the health care facility.
    26                   (B)  The perfusionist licensed by the board and
    27               retained by the health care facility that would
    28               normally perform the emergency perfusionist services
    29               was not available or incapable of providing the
    30               perfusionist services.
    31                   (C)  No other perfusionist licensed by the board
    32               was available to provide or capable of providing the
    33               emergency perfusion service.
    34                   (D)  The out-of-State perfusionist provided only
    35               the emergency perfusionist services for the patient
    36               of the health care facility and no other perfusionist
    37               services at the health care facility.
    38           (2)  The out-of-State perfusionist shall obtain a license
    39       from the board if a health care facility licensed by the
    40       Department of Health retains the perfusionist or if the
    41       perfusionist provides any future perfusionist services.
    42           (3)  The out-of-State perfusionist shall not perform any

     1       other perfusionist services other than the emergency
     2       perfusionist services.


     3       Amend Sec. 3 (Sec. 13.3), page 7, line 25, by striking out
     4    "(J)" and inserting
     5               (k)

     6       Amend Sec. 3 (Sec. 13.3), page 8, line 14, by striking out
     7    "(K)" and inserting
     8               (l)

     9       Amend Sec. 3 (Sec. 13.3), page 8, line 16, by striking out
