Subject: | Managing the Lt. Governor's Mansion |
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation to amend Act 118 of 2019 regarding the Lieutenant Governor’s Mansion at Fort Indiantown Gap, Lebanon County. My legislation would give the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) the authority to incorporate the former Lt. Governor’s Mansion and property into FITG’s facilities master plan. Doing so enables the DMVA to determine the best use of the house and property surrounding the Lt. Governor’s Mansion. A condition of this authority is that the DMVA must provide equivalent facility space to support Pennsylvania service members, Veterans and their families, and Gold Star survivor families. Please join me in sponsoring this important piece of legislation. |
