Subject: Second Class Township Auditor Compensation
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that will allow the board of supervisors for second class townships to increase the hourly pay rate of their township auditors.
 
The pay rate for township auditors was last set at $10 per hour in 1999 and has not been adjusted for inflation since.  My bill will address this stagnant rate of pay by granting individual townships the ability to increase the compensation of their auditors to an amount no greater than $17 per hour.
