Subject: The Blue Lights Campaign
 
I will be introducing legislation recognizing the Blue Lights Campaign and its efforts to raise awareness of colorectal cancer in Pennsylvania.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States. The Blue Lights Campaign is an initiative created by Dr. Marianne Ritchie, a gastroenterologist with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, to generate awareness of colorectal cancer throughout the commonwealth. As part of this campaign, our state Capitol Building will be lit in blue lights this month.
