Subject: Updating the Rural Pennsylvania Revitalization Act
 
In the near future, I plan on introducing legislation that will amend the Rural Pennsylvania Revitalization Act of 1987 to restructure the board of directors for the Center for Rural Pennsylvania. This legislation would remove the Director of the Northeast Regional Center for Rural Development and add a member from The Pennsylvania State Extension. Adding The Penn State Extension to the Board will allow for greater synergy between Extension and the Center in serving rural areas.
