Subject: Workforce Development Month Resolution
 
In the near future we will be introducing a resolution designating September 2020 as “Workforce Development Month” in Pennsylvania.
 
Each September, states across the country join efforts to recognize the contributions of workforce development professionals and highlight events and initiatives which support job seekers and employers.
 
Workforce development has always played an integral part in supporting Pennsylvania’s economic growth but that role has been heightened as we continue to combat the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Workforce development organizations and their employees help Pennsylvanians find family sustaining jobs, support local employers in finding talent and strengthen regional economies.
   
Please join us in recognizing September 2020 as “Workforce Development Month.”
