Subject: | Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights |
I will soon introduce a resolution recognizing Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights. Diwali falls in either October or November each year, depending on the cycle of the moon and is observed on the 15th day of Kartik, the holiest month in the Hindu lunar calendar. In 2020, Diwali is on November 14. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance and I hope you will join me to recognize one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism. |
