Subject: | “Lithuanian Partnership in Pennsylvania” |
In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution designating June 2019 as “Lithuanian Partnership Month” in Pennsylvania. This marks the 26-year anniversary of an excellent partnership between the PA National Guard and the Lithuanian Armed Forces. The partnership was established in 1993 and – as a result – Pennsylvania’s brave men & women are serving in Lithuania. It is a partnership borne out of the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 and with Lithuania observing its “Day of Mourning and Hope” in June, there is no better occasion to recognize our state’s partnership with this Baltic state. The goal of my resolution is to bring more attention to Pennsylvania’s affiliation and history with Lithuania. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution. If you have any questions, please contact Scot Pitzer in my office at 717-787-4651. |
