Subject: Dual Enrollment for Charter Schools
 
In the near future, I will introduce legislation to allow charter schools, regional charter schools, and cyber charter schools ("charter school entities") to offer dual enrollment programs to their students.

A dual enrollment program allows high school students to enroll in concurrent college courses through an institution of higher education. However, current state law only allows traditional public schools to enter into concurrent enrollment agreements and offer such programs. My legislation would allow charter school entities to offer similar programs to the students they serve.

Please join me to cosponsor this legislation and to ensure charter, regional charter and cyber charter schools continue operating as strong, quality school choice options for the Commonwealth's children and families.
