Subject: American Red Cross Month - March
 
Please join us in cosponsoring a resolution designating March as "American Red Cross Month" in Pennsylvania.

Today's Red Cross is a volunteer-led humanitarian organization that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps our citizens prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. In fiscal year 2018, 6,600 Red Cross volunteers assisted 4,000 families statewide during a disaster. It is important that we recognize the work done by the Red Cross and its volunteers.

Last year, SR 282 was sponsored by Senators Vulakovich, Baker, Argall, Aument, Bartolotta, Brewster, Brooks, Browne, Costa, Eichelberger, Farnese, Folmer, Fontana, Gordner, Greenleaf, Hughes, Killion, Martin, Rafferty, Reschenthaler, Sabatina, Scavello, Schwank, Street, Ward, Yaw, and Yudichak.
