Subject: | Military Spouse Appeciation Day - May 11th |
In the near future, we plan to introduce a resolution designating May 11, 2018, as "Military Spouse Appreciation Day" in Pennsylvania. Military Spouse Appreciation Day was created by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 as a day to recognize the contributions made by military spouses to the well-being of soldiers and military communities. Today’s military spouses, both men and women, often endure long separations from their loved ones. Many times these husbands and wives are left to single-handedly take care of their children and homes, as well as their own careers. Please join us in honoring the commitment military spouses have made to their loved ones by signing on as a co-sponsor of this resolution. Last session, SR 113 was sponsored by Senators Vulakovich, Costa, Aument, Baker, Bartolotta, Blake, Boscola, Brewster, Brooks, Browne, Dinniman, Eichelberger, Farnese, Folmer, Greenleaf, Hughes, Martin, Mensch, Rafferty, Regan, Reschenthaler, Sabatina, Scavello, Tartaglione, Vogel and Yudichak. If you have any questions, please contact Nate Silcox (Sen. Vulakovich) at 717-787-6538. |
