Subject: "Blue Star Mothers of America Month" in Pennsylvania (May 2018)
 

Please join me in co-sponsoring a resolution designating May 2018 as "Blue Star Mothers of America Month" in Pennsylvania.

The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. was founded as a patriotic service organization in 1942 to unite mothers who had sons or daughters in the United States Armed Forces.

This organization is comprised of mothers and stepmothers who have sons or daughters who are currently serving in the United States military or who are honorably discharged veterans. The work of the Blue Star Mothers includes: providing support for active duty service personnel and their families, promoting patriotism and assisting various veterans' organizations.

Please consider co-sponsoring this important resolution.
