Subject:	Rate Increase for River Pilots of the Delaware River and its Navigable Tributaries

In the near future I will introduce legislation that will provide a rate increase for the River Pilots who navigate trade vessels along the Delaware River and its navigable tributaries. The rate adjustments is 0% in 2017, 1% in 2018 and 2% in 2019. These adjustments will continue to support a first class piloting system along the waters of the Delaware River and Bay, as well as a state-of-the-art Vessel Traffic Information System that is integral to safety and security. This increase has been agreed to by the Pilots Association and the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority. Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation.
