Subject: | Veterans Home Vending Machine Proceeds |
In the near future, we plan to introduce legislation amending the Administrative Code to exclude state Veterans Homes from having to provide proceeds from vending machines within the Homes to the Employment Fund for the Blind. The federal Randolph–Sheppard Act authorizes a blind individual licensed by the state licensing agency to conduct specified activities in vending facilities. With this change, the funds from Veterans Homes vending machines would provide needed services to the aged veterans and their families in the Homes. Please join us in cosponsoring this legislation, which is supported by the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. If you have any questions, please contact Nate Silcox at 717-787-6538. |
