Subject: Standardized Definition of Veteran
 
In the near future, we plan to introduce the attached legislation amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) standardizing the definition of Veteran. Specifically, the bill defines the term “Conditions other than Dishonorable." Over the years, there have been questions concerning programs utilizing such wording without a definition. Making this change will help ensure consistency throughout each of the programs under Title 51.
