Subject: Animal Shelter Tax Credit
 
In the near future, I will reintroduce Senate Bill 1413 of the 2013-14 Session to provide much needed support to our non-profit animal shelters. These organizations, which rely primarily on donations, provide an invaluable service to our communities and the animals they rescue, protect, and shelter. This legislation would provide for a $2 million annual tax credit program to incentivize businesses to contribute to non-profit animal shelters. Tax credits may not exceed $100,000 for each business firm.

Prior co-sponsors included Senators Wiley, Ferlo, Erickson, Stack, Smith, Costa, Alloway, Fontana, Greenleaf, Boscola, Mcilhinney, White, Farnese, Solobay, Rafferty, Hutchinson and Tartaglione.
