MEMORANDUM

Posted: November 19, 2013 03:05 PM
From: Senator Timothy J. Solobay
To: All Senate members
Subject: Urge Congress to better fund the Veterans Administration

In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution that calls on Congress to increase funding for the federal Veterans Administration (VA). We are repeatedly seeing VA claims taking far too long to process. The VA is simply unable to keep up with the demand. This is most unfair to our veterans and their families.

What once was a six month wait, which is still too long, now can easily take over a year and sometimes even longer. It is for this reason that I think it is time to call on Congress to remedy this atrocious situation. Our veterans deserve better.

Introduced as SR263
