Subject: Legislation to direct money from Tobacco Settlement Fund for Adult Basic
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce an Appropriations bills to direct 30% of the Tobacco Settlement to fund Adult Basic.

The Commonwealth Court ruled yesterday that Governor Corbett unconstitutionally stopped funding the adultBasic health insurance program for working Pennsylvanians. I intend to introduce legislation to fund the program beginning July 1, 2013. This is a vital, long-term cost-saving program for hundreds of Pennsylvanians with preexisting conditions. This program allows those who are eligible - to work while receiving health care benefits.
