MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 10, 2013 01:25 PM
From: Senator John H. Eichelberger, Jr.
To: All Senate members
Subject: Eichelberger- Term Limits

In the near future, I intend to re-introduce a Joint Resolution which would amend the Constitution to limit the number of years members of the General Assembly may serve. Under the legislation, the overall limit would be twelve years for the House of Representatives and twelve years for the Senate over the course of a lifetime. The amendment would not apply to legislators elected prior to its ratification.
Last Session's bill (SB702) was co-sponsored by FOLMER, ALLOWAY, WAUGH, VOGEL, FERLO AND WARD

Introduced as SB307
