House Co-Sponsorship Memoranda

Pennsylvanians know that voting is one of their most solemn civic duties. Yet far too often our residents are forced to wait in line for long periods of time. Countless hardworking residents use their entire lunch hour or wait in line to vote after a long day on the job. Still others recognize the importance of voting, but simply do not have the time available to wait for a voting booth.  

  

We can do better. I plan to introduce a resolution directing the Joint State Government Commission to conduct a study looking at the current utilization of poll workers, polling places, and voting machines. This study will help to determine the best course of action moving forward and identify legislative and administrative recommendations to minimize the time needed to vote. 

  

Voters should not have to dedicate hours out of their day to cast a ballot. The voting process should be as efficient and secure as possible. This resolution is a vital first step in improving our elections process. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution.
