Subject: Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement Use of Minors for Compliance Checks
 
Soon, I will be introducing legislation regarding the BLCE and liquor enforcement.
 
As many of you may be aware, the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement (BLCE), housed under our State Police, has a program that allows BLCE to send in minors for compliance checks for liquor establishments. The program is set to expire at the end of this year, and I believe this legislation is vital to ensure that our liquor establishments are not serving minors underage.
 
My legislation will set the sunset date of the current program from the end of this year until the end of 2027.
