Subject: Observing Memorial Day 2022 in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 
We will be introducing a resolution to observe Memorial Day, May 30, 2022, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Formerly known as “Decoration Day,” it is a federal holiday, celebrated on the last Monday of May, that commemorates the men and women who died in combat for our country.

Memorial Day provides a time to remember with reverence those who fought to bring us peace on terms that enable us to live as citizens in the greatest nation of the world with civil liberties envied and emulated by nations around the globe.

Please join us to honor and salute those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
