| As the House members of the Pennsylvania Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial (America250PA), please join us in recognizing each part of Pennsylvania in the celebration in 2026. We believe that part of the celebration should be to leave a memory for future Pennsylvanians, something that both improves our state and commemorates our heritage. To this end, we are proposing a bipartisan committee under the guidance of American250PA that will work to identify legacy infrastructure projects throughout Pennsylvania. House and Senate members in each region of the Commonwealth will meet, collaborate, and choose a project for their individual region. Do you have a monument, trail, veteran memorial, or transportation project in your district that needs to be revitalized? We want the members in the region to be involved in the selection, and ideally the project would need to be completed by 2026. This is a statewide celebration and therefore we want to work with all 67 counties. These merit worthy projects will engage each region of our Commonwealth in an effort to chart what the lasting legacy of our 250th celebration means in all 67 counties. This legislation will set up the framework for the projects. We invite you to join us by cosponsoring this legislation. |
