Subject: Joyce Maureen Steele Memorial Highway
 
In the near future, I will be introducing legislation to name the entire length of State Route 4010 in North Branch Township, Wyoming County as the Joyce Maureen Steele Memorial Highway. Joyce Maureen Steele was known for her extraordinary barrier breaking athletic skills as a female baseball player. She played on the Kalamazoo Lassies Club in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in 1953.
 
She died on April 21, 2019. 
 
Please join me in cosponsoring this legislation to honor Joyce Maureen Steele.
