Subject: Creating Jobs with More Airport Development

Today, many of Pennsylvania’s airports financially struggle with developing their property for more productive economic uses. As a result, many airports have unused and underutilized land and buildings that are hindering their economic growth.

My bill will encourage the development of vacant land and buildings owned by airports and leased to industrial or commercial businesses by providing a $2,100 tax credit to participating businesses for each new full-time job that is created.

Pennsylvania’s airports remain some of our most valuable economic assets. By working together with private businesses to further develop our airports, we can create more jobs for the surrounding local communities.

Please join me in this effort to create more full-time jobs and encourage more airport development across Pennsylvania. This bill was previously introduced last session as House Bill 1208.

Introduced as HB1229
