Subject: Forestry Legislation
 
In the near future, I will be reintroducing legislation to provide for additional representation by Pennsylvania’s forestry industry on the Hardwood Development Council within the Department of Agriculture. (Previously HB 2149).  

This legislation will add the Secretary of Education, a logger and a forester to the Hardwoods Development Council, provide for representation from all three hardwood utilization groups as well as guarantee representation on the Council by the largest hardwood utilization group, the Allegheny Hardwood Utilization Group.
