MEMORANDUM

Posted: December 8, 2020 10:22 AM
From: Representative Michael J. Puskaric
To: All House members
Subject: Voter Registration System Database Audit former HB 2970

Soon I will be re-introducing legislation that will direct the Department of State to conduct an audit of Pennsylvania's voter registration system and to report their findings to the General Assembly within 60 days. Reports of deceased individuals voting is not a new phenomenon. Every election, I have constituents come to me with their experiences with a family or friend that has passed, but they remain on the poll books. Now that Pennsylvania has instituted mail-in voting, the potential risk for deceased individuals to vote has increased exponentially.

That is why I am introducing this legislation. It is time for us to clean up our voter rolls to ensure that they are up to date and I hope you will join me by cosponsoring this important legislation.

Introduced as HB24
