The federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act required (among other things) employers with 50-500 employees to pay sick leave related to COVID-19. The bill mandated an additional 80 paid sick leave hours on top of any existing contractor collective bargaining agreement for each full-time worker, and 40 for part-time. Unfortunately, this cap excluded larger employers, many of whom are essential to our manufacturing and food production. My bill takes those same COVID-19 paid sick leave benefits and applies them to every Pennsylvanian who works for an employer with over 500 employees. In addition to requiring that those large employers provide additional paid sick leave for all employees (part-time and full-time), my bill prohibits:
