Subject: | COVID-19 E-Commerce Support for Small Businesses |
Small businesses of all types are a critical part of Pennsylvania’s economy. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and non-essential business closures, many of these businesses may have technical issues or other problems when trying to transition to online sales. To help these “Mom and Pop” shops, I plan to introduce a bill requiring the Department of Community and Economic Development to provide technical support and guidance for ultra-small or micro-businesses (less than five employees) as they open and expand their online storefronts. It is wise for Pennsylvania to help equip vulnerable small businesses with the tools they need to continue to service their clients in whatever capacity they can during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond. During these transitional times, we need to stand with our local businesses as they find their new normal. Please consider supporting this important legislation to provide support for Pennsylvania’s small businesses. |
